The colors made me think "tropical," so I did a batik technique. First I stamped and embossed the flowers on mulberry paper. Next I sponged ink around the flowers. Finally, I sandwiched the paper between some scratch paper and put a hot iron it. The heat melts the embossing powder so you're left with the batik look.
The finished card is 8.5"x 3.75".

I'm so happy you stuck with it - your card is beautiful! You did a great job with the color challenge too -I know what you mean, I had trouble working with the teal for Dawn's challenge. Great job with both challenges!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. You did a wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love the colors and the fun technique!
ReplyDeleteLove all the different textures you created with the reverse inking, embossing and a touch of sparkle. THe handcut flowers along the bottom are a great touch too!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Love that technique!
