This month's Papertrey blog hop challenge is to use sequins. This challenge gave me a good reason to go shopping as I didn't own any sequins. And we've got lots of April birthdays in our family, so I used this challenge to start on my birthday card.
For my first card, I was inspired by a color combo from the graphics on a commercial for Oprah's Super Soul Sunday show. The colors made me think of Funky Florals, so here's the result:
In my second card, I tried to use a color scheme to go with the iridescent sequins. I'm not in love with the final result.
Thanks for stopping by!

Wonderful compositions! I like both cards equally well. I love the way you overlapped and scattered your funky flowers, and stamped the sentiment in black on top. (Isn't it amazing where we get our color pallet ideas. I took a picture the other day of my pills which were waiting their time to be swallowed. I guess there are some benefits to getting older?!) You should really be proud of both cards. They are stunning. Thanks for taking the time to play along.
