PTI Emboss Resist Challenge

This card is for the Emboss Resist challenge for PTI"s third anniversary. I had not done this technique in a long time, so it was a good reason to actually use some stamps I've purchased in the past few months.

Vintage is not my style, so I'm not sure how much I like this card. Something seems a little off to me, but it's too late to fiddle any more. I sponged some Creamy Caramel ink on PTI's new white silk ribbon to give it a tea stained look.

I'm glad that I got time to stamp today and try out something different.

Thanks for stopping by!
Jennifer

PTI Blog Hop - January 2010 - The Total Package

Hello. Welcome to the PaperTrey Ink Blog Hop. This month's challenge is "to create a card that has the "total package". Create any style card you can dream up, then take it the next step. Embellish the interior and adorn the envelope. You might even want to add a little something to the back of the card!"

I used the new Rock-a-Bye Baby template to make a card for my co-worker. By the time, I was done with all the cutting, I didn't have much juice left for the decorating! I completely forgot about the envelope, but I did remember a little something on the back from Faux Ribbon. Might have to invest in a digital cutter before long. : )

Supplies (PTI unless noted)
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics II, Mega Mixed Messages, Faux Ribbon
Ink: Bashful Blue (SU!), Spring Moss
Paper: Bashful Blue (SU!), Stamper's Select White, Spring Flowers DSP (SU!)
Accessories: Rock-a-Bye Baby Click Simple template, Spring Moss vintage buttons, DMC floss

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of the hop!

CPS Sketch #150

Hello. I finally made time to stamp and created two cards using CPS Sketch #150. I actually used my new SU! goodies the day that the order arrived! That rarely happens.

I've had that retired SU! valentine paper sitting around for years now and have always had trouble using it - mostly because I had trouble finding pink inks that match it (none of the SU! colors seemed quite right). So I ended up just punching everything out of the paper instead of stamping. I was glad to finally find a use for a bit of the paper.

Thanks for stopping by,
Jennifer

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - Oct '09 - Holiday Hop

Hello. The month's PTI BlogHop is the Holiday Hop. Here's the challenge: "Show us your best upcoming holiday plans for cards, gifts, wraps or whatever else you have up your sleeve!" I'm a bit of procrastinator, so I'm just now getting around to Halloween projects. I hope that still counts for the holidays.

I made these treat holders using PTI's medium glassine bags. Embossed them with Cuttlebug folders for a little added texture, which I've seen on various blogs. This was my first project using Copics and I'm pretty happy with how the pumpkin turned out (see Nichole's post for my inspiration).

I've missed the last few hops because we're expecting another baby and the first trimester was tiring. It didn't stop me from buying new stamping supplies, just from actually using them much. : )

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!
