Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - July '09 - Text

Welcome to the July PTI Blog Hop. It seems that I've become a once-a-month blogger -- just for the blog hop. I received my PTI order yesterday (first one since April!), so I had to play along. This month's challenge: "I'd like to see your twist on anything text integrated into a fun project! Cut it, punch it, tear it, distress it, paint it, ink it, brayer it, stamp it, stitch it, layer it. Use it as a background, border or a focal point. Use several text styles on one project or just focus on a single look. Try a technique layered on top of text like emboss resist or watercoloring. You could even run it through an embossing folder."

I stuck to a couple of basic text ideas given my limited free time lately. I also used Fall-to-Layout #51 to help get my juices flowing and save some time. On this first card, I wanted to combine several different fonts, so this is what I came up with:
By the way, I think Fancy Flourishes is just perfect! So glad I finally ordered it.

I made this little note card with the leftover piece from the Top Note die cut. Just a cute little note to stick in a dish when I return it to our neighbor.

For the second card, I used several of the sentiments from Friends 'Til the End to make a background. I lined them all up on a large block and stamped away. Had to go back to fill in a few of the empty spots on either side.
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the hop.
Jennifer
