Papertrey Ink June 09 - Summer

image from Edible Portland

Welcome to the PTI blog hop. This month's challenge is: "Summer is FULL of so many wonderful colors, sights & sounds! This month your challenge is to get inspired by the lazy days of summer and reflect your inspiration in a project of your choice! Whether it be the colors in your favorite summer treats, the pattern on your bathing suit & beach towel or even the texture of the sand between your toes, use any or all of these things as a springboard for your design."

The start of summer here in Oregon means the arrival of lots of yummy berries. I used the strawberries from My Punny Valentine to create a couple of cards. I actually made a third, but my toddler shredded it. This first card was inspired Fall-to-Layout #41, which was inspired by this card by Savitri.
I made this 2nd card with a couple of extra strawberries. Cut them out and embossed to get that shiny fruit look.
I can't believe it's been almost a month since I've posted. I got busy preparing for a garage sale, and then work got crazy. Not sure if things will calm down anytime soon, but I didn't want to miss the hop.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!
Jennifer
